MEMORIES FROM BOURGAS
January was passing so you could see martenitsi selling from the pavilions. At school we were organized in a “Chavdarche” group so we had the task to make martenitsi for our Cuban friends. For about 2-3 weeks we were getting together after class and under the leadership of our teacher Mihaylova we were making martenitsi from thread, leather and paper. We were talking all the time that this is going to be such a surprise for the kids of one suffered and far nation, like our teacher was telling us.
